Patience and God’s Gifts

Garden lessons come often and with brilliance. While wandering around the homestead I spotted this sweet blossom , one of many upon a glossy leafed bush. Now, I had pondered this bush many times. It stands beneath my massive oak in our front yard. Many a time I believed it to be an opportune bush masquerading as one of my beloved Camellias  The leaves seemed similar but many bushes are wholly about their identity, preferring to stand quietly and hope no one notices them. How like life! But, in this case I only needed to be patient because now five years later here are the lovely blooms. Proving this to indeed be a Camellia worthy of its space in the garden. Promising a blanket of blooms for years to come. So glad I waited for it to reach its potential.
